6N2 Electric Window Not Operating

Post by Polo Dan »

Hi all, so the n/s electronic window's packed up. When the button is pressed a clicking sound can be heard from the door so I know the fuse and circuit are good. Has anyone had this issue, if so will a door card removal and lube up of the runners do the trick? I also read somewhere on here that someone gave the motor a few taps with a hammer and that sorted it.

In short, I'm looking for people that have had this problem and their solutions, be it repair or renewal of the motor.

Thanks :)

Mine did this for a while and then started working again, turn out to be one of the cables in the door rubber about to snap, it snapped at about 11pm when i tried to close the window and i spent hours trying to find out the problem in the dark.

You should check the cables in the door rubbers for good measure :)

Hi, my driver's side window has packed up.

Stopped working a few months ago, and my local garage did a bit of bodging and got it working again. Apparently VW has changed the regulator and motor now, so could potentially be £300 to replace. Fingers crossed it starts woring again, and thumbs up to air-con!
