I think that's the one :) It used to be on black BBS Split rims but he's probably changed them

I don’t know the guy personally but I saw him a few times when I had my GTI and gave him the nod :) something that only happens with Veedubs, friendly acknowledgment

Quick update on the parcel shelf situation...... I went to see the trimmer on Friday after getting sick of not being able to get through by phone and he 'promised' me it will be done by mid next week. It better be worth the wait!!!!

Also, been cleaning and polishing today (3 hours worth!)... New pic:

Still need to sort out the lows and a service, was hoping to get them done today but i've been too busy cleaning it! Got all the bits for a service though so that will be done tomorrow.

Looking nice, looks like you need to clean your bumper grill too like me - I need to find out which product is best for 'blacking up' the grills.

You fancying a black rear view mirror too? I'm gonna get one soon me thinks.

Yeah i need to find something to make the grilles look blacker, also I couldnt get in there with the plate in the way.... Should take it off really and do it, i'll get round to that because I have new plate surrounds to put on anyway :D

I bought a black rear view but the stalk bit on it is longer than the other one so i'm going to paint the stalk which is on now and just attach the mirror bit from the black one..... Also on the list to do lol 8)

Yeah the bonnet on the GTI always annoyed me too, I should have got it resprayed when I had the bumpers done but I was low on funds at the time

I think the car must have been parked under a tree a lot of the time before I bought it because the roof & bonnet had lots of imperfections in the paint, they look like stone chips but they have mostly been caused by tree sap. After a respray it will look amazing :) make sure you get some Poor boys blackhole Glaze, its without doubt the best stuff you can use on a Black car.

The roof on my red Polo is the same actually from sap so it must be the same for the GTI, yeah the re-spray will really freshen it up 8)

Someone else told me to get that Poor Boys stuff aswell, i'll have to give it a go. :D
