Power Loss when using Air Con

As the topic says.

im losing power with the air con on and its really a nightmare getting up hills with passengers and with air con on.

what are u ppl experiencing? is it just the small engine that makes the difference?

Yup, even the 1.4 like mine is a pain in the ass. To less torque from that little engine.

i hear that the air con eats 7-8 bhp of your power when it's on full. so you might feel the difference more in a small engine

I dont feel any difference at all but then again I have got more torque than a VR6

My mates Ibiza 1.4 MPI has climate and that is a right pain in the ass, he has to turn it off to go up hills!
