Update on the Race Polo

Hi all, been a while so thought i'd drop a few pics on and let you know whats happened to the little Polo. After suffering a big bang and subequent fire at Silverstone in 2010, the spare engine went in. Still the same N/A 2.0ltr but with J.E Pistons instead of the horrible ones which where the cause of the bang in the 1st place. Sadly just before the start of the 2011 season i pulled the plug as i wasn't really happy with the car/engine. Even though it had 210hp it never used it right. It was great once you got it up and running but after doing all the work to get past someone they then just drove away out of the corners. So long story short, decided to go the turbo route, now embeded in the car is an ARY code 1.8T from an Audi A3 Quattro Sport. I decided on this 1.8 over a couple of others as it starts at 180bhp, has the K03S turbo and bigger injectors, as opposed to the others of 150bhp. So less stress on it's current map, which is about 220bhp. So if your around for any of the VW Cup Races, pop over and say hello, and give the only Polo running a bit of support. Very nice, can see just from the pictures how much work has gone into that!

Well impressed, I'll probably end up "running my car into the ground" and doing this with it in the long run. Not really for competing, just track days ect!

I will hopefully get to see you at some events this year!

cheers for that, poor little thing has always looked the part, especially once i gave it the face lift, but sadly engine wise has never been the part, this year hopefully a good result awaits. By all means say hello if you get to a round,
