Haha! It's going well so far. Interested to see how it all comes together.

Couple of small updates.

Fitted some poly bushes to the front of the wishbones just because i had some.

Something else i wanted to do for a while was put the battery in the boot. Why? i don't know just because i had the parts and wanted to create more space in the engine bay.

This is how i did it originally but the cable was slightly to short at the back.

Image

So i sold my PD160 intake and cone in the box and this i the finished placement

Image

Yesterday i went down to JNL Racing to make some progress on the engine.

With the head off i though it best to inspect everything and change the stem seals.

Valves got a clean and removed some pitting on the exhaust valves.

Blocked got bored out

And a shot of all the parts on the work bench

Also sent off a load of bits for powder coating and before i return to work next Tuesday i will build the engine back up.

more soon

Small update. Got my engine built up and back to the garage.

Just waiting for my parts to come back from the powder coaters then I can put the last few bits on and fit it to the car.

Here is a pic with the manifold and turbo on

Image

However I have now decide to sell that lot and make a bit more use of te fully forged bottom end.

Waiting for a delivery this week then will post up some pics of the new turbo set up.

Nothing to crazy but more than this hybrid is capable of.

Ok it's update time with lots of pics.

Over the weekend i did the following as whilst its off the road thought it would be good to renew some parts.
New ball joints and track rod arms + (new drop links in the post)
Cleaned up the front suspension and greased up the coils.
Need to get some black hammerite to paint the hubs and bottom of the suspension legs just to make it look better.

Also picked up my parts from the powder coaters

And as mentioned i sold the hybrid turbo stuff and got another turbo

Then found this but the seller was more than happy to refund the money to get a new housing

Image

so whilst the turbo is off getting a new housing i though i may as well fit this too
VF34 compressor wheel and housing

Image

Once i receive the compressor wheel the turbo will be sent off then when it comes back i'm ready to put the car back together

More soon.

Thanks man appricate your kind words. I also can't wait to see the finished product.

Finally received my vf34 compressor wheel and housing so will be send that off with the turbo tomorrow or Monday to have them fitted to the turbo along with the new exhaust housing.

Once that's back I believe I'll have everything to complete the job. Just time holding me up. don't get enough free hours to get in the garage.

Yeah no problem. Take it you don't need your car for a few years lol

So what you got planned? Stronger rods pistons? Bigger turbo?
