NEW BOY! engine mods??

Post by cuprabaz »

Hi guys i'm new on the forum so take it easy on me! The info is for my brother who is in the middle of buying a 2000 polo gti.

I myself drive a 205bhp ibiza cupra and i've got a dynatwist induction kit but i'm planning on getting a CAI and was wondering if there is one available for the polo as i don't like the sound of the BMC sitting at the top of the engine bay.

Also what other mods work well on these car's?

Any advise would be very helpful!

Cheers

cheers mate, i think we'll go down the custom CAI route as they are the nuts when built properly, as those BMC jobbies are quite expensive.

I haven't had a chance to look under the bonnet yet as i'm offshore and my brother doesn't get the car until thursday but is there a gap too fit a pipe down into the wing?

What size of samco pipe will i need to replace the air box assembly going into the intake.

I've seen the bmc filter has a 90degree bend, does anyone know the diameter of this?

cheers.
