Re: Joe's 3rd Gti Progress Thread- Jumpy throttle?
I had this, was my coil mate, had alot of white powder all over my terminals and the pack itself. So changed it with ht leads aswell as plugs and she ran like a dream. Chuffed!

Re: Joe's 3rd Gti Progress Thread- 12/4/12 update
I'm looking at ordering one of these this weekend hopefully - do you know where your mate got this from? And have you got any pictures of the ends where it attaches to the rest of the car? I thought they needed L shaped brackets to change the width enough to fit the Polo beam?joe2612 wrote:

You know the insulting thing is my mate got this for £70. Although it didn't come with brackets, ( they had snapped previously) you can just bolt it to the back of the rear beam which works fine.

Looks like something to do with the spring on the clutch cable?

Guessing they're different rate springs for different clutch feel?

Re: Joe's 3rd Gti Progress Thread- Subtle mod.
Yeah Joe got it in on. I've been struggling with a poor clutch feel since owning the car, basically the bite point was either right at the top or at the bottom with a floppy pedal due to a pretty pathetic spring.
So managed (with difficulty) to source these 3 springs of different stiffness to customise the bite point and the clutch feel.
I know a spring isen't the most exciting thing but its made a big diference!
