Cloudy Headlights 6n2 GTi

Hi guys, I'm pretty new here, just bought myself a 6n2 GTi, one thing that's annoying me is there seems to be a cloudy film on the front of the headlights? Any one got any tips on how to get rid of this?

I was too at first - maybe try on an indicator first given how small/cheap they are? It's pretty easy - just need to have the confidence to keep going and not stop half way!

its really not difficult i did my polo headlights and it only took me about 40 mins to do both and i didn't take them off the car at all.
all you need to do is mask around the lights to protect your paint, put some water in a bucket with some soap i just used fairy, start with 600 grit wet and dry paper then 800 then 1200 then i finished on 2000, but change direction when you change grade ie start with 600 sanding left to right then 800 up and down and so on, then to finish i just used t-cut scratch remover to polish them up by hand

They came up well for not taking them off the car! Mine are a bit more cloudy than that but think I might give it a try Thanks

I've helped with a few headlights now.
Just sit down with a cup of tea and the radio in and it goes quite quick.
I'm always scared I'll mess up, But if you take your time you can get amazing results

I've had mine done recently by my local VW specialist for a small charge, and they do look great when they're done. Well worth doing. Apparently the coating which protects them gradually goes cloudy or comes off, so it's well worth the effort.
