Might just look for quotes 2nitw just for an idea
Well I had named driver no claims so it wasn't as big a discount as it could have been . . . I think they'll shock you hah! Bear in mind my quotes on a 1.4 polo were £800 when I was getting quoted £2000 for the GTi :| for the sake of an extra 8valves and 0.2 of a litre thats a hell of a lot lol!

Paying £600 ish to insure mine as a 2nd car with 0 NCB (NCB on the Golf)- only 21/student too. 8)

The 'not many left' comment got me interested - look at these:

http://howmanyleft.co.uk/vehicle/volksw ... M7836#!tax

About 2,600.

If you change to new registrations - I wonder what happened to the 2003-4-5 registered ones?! The DVLA have the ability to find out how many of each colour are left too - last time I checked I think it was ~380 red 3 doors!

Welcome, btw!

Finally got round to fitting the red grille trim after work today, simple but improves the look of the front in my opinion :)

Looking nice :D I'm a big fan of the red strip, suits the black an silvers so well, and adds to the GTI-ness
