Try www.scottsmototune.co.uk they offer a remap , I bought a second ECU for my car so I could send it top them as they are so far away but I have yet to get round to it, its listed for the 1.6 16v lupo and not the POlo but as its the same engine I'm assuming they could do it!

having that second ecu will help 4 diagnosis if something is wrong with the car
thats why i like the piggyback system as you can simply unplug it and rule it when trying to diagnose a fault.
i think getting it done custom to suit your car is better than just a chip
how much was it to get the ecu chipped from scottsmototune and where r they based?
dastek have a site in scotland
was quoted £300+vat at the time
never heard anything good or bad about them though so was unsure wether to go with them or not :?

Where abouts in Scotland are dastek based? do they have a web site?

I'm in North Ayrshire!

Scottsmototune are in Dover or somewhere like that! 450 bucks for the remap! They are the only UK agent for SKN(Germany). You take your car in they look at the ECU serial no, upload the data from your ECU to a computer and send it to SKN Germany who bugger about with it and then send it back and they upload it to your car! hey presto 15bhp extra!

@4paws as far as I know all the Lupo GTi's are like that as we have a different engine cover(I've chucked it away) that covers the entire top of the engine unlike the Polo GTi one(correct me if I'm talking poo) only covers a portion of the engine! Sent dastek an email asking if they can offer anything for the Polo/Lupo GTi and how much!

@PolGTi, where do u drink in Kilwinning, the claremont? I'm in West KIlbride but sometime galavant down there for a pint!

Ive been to the Claremont a couple of times, with my younger cousins (18 & 16) I felt like a Grandad in there. I suppose its ok for a local joint. The Mrs wants to have our wedding reception there for some reason? I told her I want it at Ibrox but shes not taking me on.

Ive been the Metro at Saltcoats a few times on Old Skool nites. Was there for Hogmany 2001/2.

Dont really tend to get out all that much when Im up there, just go and see the family etc.

I usually go out in Largs as saltcoats/kilwinning is just full of teeny boppers, you'll get a better atmosphere in Largs with most people being in their 20s or early 30s! Haven't been to the Metro in like 8 years its a s**t!

Went on a coroporate tour of Ibrox a few months back and it was ace! 8)
