Problem installing rc for central locking unit

Post by Boddicker »

Hi

I just bought a Cobra 1046 remote control system for the central locking unit.

The wiring looks straight forward (http://www.stylingshop.dk/cgi-bin/uploa ... 046_v2.pdf) but I'm having a hard time location the right wires at the central convenience ECU. There isn't any orange wire there, so I was wondering if anyone had the pinout for the ecu, since wire colors can't be trusted...

My car is a Polo 9n 101hp from 2002. The ecu part number is: 6q0 959 433 g

I did this a couple years back on my 9n and it took ages to figure out the wiring for the comfort module.

If you still need help I've PM'd you my email address - drop me a note and I will forward some pdf wiring documents that I used when I fit mine.

The 9N uses a negative earth switch

Only one wire locks and unlocks the doors blue with white stripe you can locate this where it comes from the door into the car you will have to remove bonnet release cover to get good access to the loom

On the open you need a neg earth pulse with a 180 ohm .25 amp resistor in line
and lock just the 12 v neg earth

Both lock and unlock from remote box need to go to the blue and white wire

i did this for my son resentley and it took some working out
