Hi Quinny

I should be able to push 1.35 bar boost BHP ?

My mate fitted the hybrid i was going to use and R-Tech said the pipe work was to much of a restriction being just 2" would need at least 2.5".

Rather than cut up the Forger cooler to accept bigger pipes etc i just decide to get a bigger single pass intercooler and have new pipework made for it.

Took it for a small drive last night and done 5 miles :-)

Filter has arrived today along with the new intercooler. Just awaiting some Samco joiners for the new intercooler pipe work and crash bar (thanks Drennan) and then drop it off with those bits to Bill @ Badger 5 on the 9th for intercooler fitting and remap :-)

Small update but the biggest of them all.
Car has now completed just under 400 miles and the only thing is a very small water leak from the top radiator plastic connector. new seal for this has been ordered and will be fitted when the car is back in my possession.
Where is it I here you ask?
Badger 5 for remapping and possible intercooler change. once the mapping is on the way he will do some logging on pressure drop once air has travelled through the intercooler. if this is minor then the forge unit will stay and if major then its time for a change. Now its the waiting game as he has many cars booked in and cant even start with mine for at least a week :-(
if I need to have another intercooler fitted I will certainly not be making it to GTI International :-(

will update as soon as I here any feedback from Bill

Thanks mate.

Don't sell it  every car has it's ups and downs you just need to stick with it and remember the good times..

Hopefully i can make International although I'm sure I'm going to need the new intercooler fitting.

I'm going on holiday in 3 weeks time so if it's not ready by then i wont see the car for around 5-6 weeks

Cheers mate.

It was certainly made easier have the front of the car off but they can be done with it in place will just be a bit more time consuming.

Would be worth the pain

Oh yeah forgot to mention went to visit my mate i sold the Hybrid turbo to for a test drive and OMG this is a great unit.
He is running 260bhp and 280torque and it just pulls and pulls and in our little car it's just immense.

Lord knows what i have got and gotten myself into with my build. I know i would have been more than happy with the power the hybrid produces.

Amazing progress as usual! Nice one mate :D

Just on the FMIC it will be great to see some official pressure figures on the Forge. I had the Forge but recently changed to the SEAT sport and have to say butt dyno says it's pulling harder and smoother also. I did a base line dyno run with the Forge on and I'm just about to go back to see if the change was worth it officially
