Looks like it's needing a new alternator/regulator pack thing following on from this http://www.uk-polos.net/view ... =7&t=56487 and the testing of the AA man. Picked one up with a warranty for a reasonable £40. :)

Also just won a full set of Audi S3 sun visors on eBay with the middle one and vanity lights included for a bargin £8.50. Happy days considering their normal price! Now I've got these I'll start on dying the rest of the headlining black.

Well. . . the sun visors turned up. Just wish I could say the same for the alternator.

Anyway, I don't know what they're meant to be out of, or if the S3 has horrid roof lining, but they're not a nice colour - I sure wouldn't want the whole roof done like it. It's kinda like the bolsters on the standard GTi seats - and I didn't like that colour much either!

In terms of fit - length is fine, but the bit where it goes into the roof is completely wrong. It might be possible to get the end bits off and swap them over, but I'm not sure I'm going to go to the effort given the colour, I'll just dye/spray my own up.

They're also a different shape, and look like they'll either catch on the mirror, or obscure it if pushed too far. Don't make my mistakes!

Still, the lights will be useful to use in the footwells I guess and I'll sell the visors back on. If anyone wants some. . .

Hoping to have lows on order by the end of the month - keep getting distracted and buying other non-Polo stuff.
