So I haven't been on here in a while...

I decided to clean up the engine bay and paint a few bits, here's a few pics

What we all think of the blue?? Thinking of having a colour change sometime in the near future
Image
The heat shield is work in progress it got late and I got bored but will probably finish it over the coming weeks
Image
Also decided to finally change the pollen filter
Image
Found all this build up underneath haha
Image
Thought I'd give it a good wash and got some black wax while I was at it

I've also bagged myself some cheap RX2's the weekend

Planning on changing tyres over to these on Saturday so I can start on doing the refurb on my others myself :-D

Thanks Ben! You should defo join us on the next meet it was a good laugh

Thanks Phil :-) rocker cover will get painted red the blue is just a thought as all the GTI's are red so I'm just toying with the idea of changing all to blue
No I haven't sorted the lights yet but I might clean them up the weekend, I need to find myself another sharan rear badge to go back chrome but I want to keep the colour coded insert I need a new chrome GTI grill badge too for my new grill them I'll probably clean it all in 1 hit

When you back from holiday dude? We need to sort another meet out soon for sure

Looking good Luke :) I think switching to blue would be a nice choice, silver & blue seems to work so well

I remember seeing a Silver GTI at Castle Combe with Blue RXII's (chrome lip) and it look quality.

Have you got a link for that black wax mate? Is it like a bumper care/back to black stuff?

I like the thought of silver and blue, I think if you get the right shade of blue it's a perfect combo

Sorry Ben I don't have a link as I bought it ages ago from halfords I believe but here's a pic

It's good stuff mate! Spread all over the trim leave for a bit and then buff it off makes a big difference

That's a nice figure assuming the rr is reliable.

Few people had a lot less than expected so I think everyone had mixed views really, I was surprised as all I've done is the K&N Typhoon and my mates polo GTI had 117 standard

Sounds like a good result. Over 140 and i would have said the rr is out however your figure is perfectly believable.

Good result that, mine was 140bhp before my map so you will 100% see over 140 like me with the de cat and manifold etc......
