TROTTA'S progress thread *.!G60S NOW ON/FOR SALE!.*

Post by Godderz23 »

Just read the write up on eBay Craig. Really well written and after reading the price is a very fair one.

As said on here it would more than likely be easier to raise the money by selling bits and putting it back to standard, but with the amount of work that's gone into it I understand why you wouldn't want to rip your pride and joy to bits.

I'm just gutted I never got to see it in the flesh :-(

Yeah I think iv written it up fairly well, bloody hard to make it readable and not boring. Copied and pasted it from emails to feature magazines and all that. If it doesn't sell il advertise it at players 6.0....

Your a watcher then lol! ???

Picture bigger than the others? Isit easy to find?

Just seen your car on eBay mate, great read and well described

The only thing I would have done different is advertise it as a classified add which is about £20 but lasts 28 days
Hopefully you can get some bids though and get a quick sale

Well she didn't sell, advertised it as an auction so I will advertise it as a 20 day classified next but it is on pistonheads ATM but not convinced I will sell there either. It's also on ed38 so she's out there but I did get offered £3000 by some crazy women lol......!

Shame it didnt sell mate but I must admit I did'nt think it would on a normal auction becuase the starting price was too high (people want stuff for nothing these days)
Always best to start it low at like £100 and then the bids will fly in and it wont go for nothing because of the reserve

Pistonheads is good & eBay classified adds are really cool and a lot cheaper than normal car listings.

I hope it sells soon mate, you need an S2000 in your life 8)

Well I might just take the polo to the next level now, insurance on an s2000 is the same as a Ferrari 360 lol. So might have to wait a while which sucks but I had abit of a realization that I do have a quad for the good weather, actually forgot about it lol!

That's having the works done next month, like exaust, air filter, re jet, sprocket upgrade and a remap so that thing is gona fly lol. Even more so.....

So yeah sod it il keep it and show the scene what do it yourself is all about,

Gona fix her up like bushes in me steering columb need doing, service, fit my poly bushes and align up the front end, finish my sound system so new rear focals to match the front.

And iv decided I want air ride lol, so il be going to either havair or ravern for it. Fully loaded setup, two tanks in me rear seats all red like me wheels. And I'm Gona paint me roof red like me wheels and have my headlining done in red leather aswell. Sod it I'm in to deep to stop now lol..... Quad will be my fast toy....

Just Gona 100% go for it...... Ha.

If your keeping it mate I expect to see either a 1.8T conversion or some kind of Supercharger/Turbo install 8) you know it makes sense

As for the Quad that thing sounds brutal, you will deffo have to get some vids

Yeah, defo need a 1.8t to 'finish' it off, with it being super light with a mapped Audi tt 1.8t engine will be 250 bhp+ so pretty exciting and reasonable 'simple...' aha
Big respect for all you own hard work and talent!

Air ride is the nuts! :) but both together IMO would be the final thing to finish it off ;)
