You can get a new handle insert from VW and just transfer the lock :) it happened to mine.

Apologies for reviving this topic, but my glovebox door handle broke off recently as well.

Can I just replace the handle, or do I need to replace the whole glovebox assembly?

If just the handle, does anyone know the part number for it?

A how-to for replacing it would be very much appreciated!

Thanks, PH-VAP
