alarm sound change

is it not possible to change the sound of the standard alarm in our polos? i thought we had a couple of choices for tunes but my dealer told me it was not possible to change it :cry:

i have a beep sound for when i open the car, os that what ur talking about, because u can only have sound for that

Yeah you can change it from a squeaky type siren (european setting) to a two tone type sound cos VW changed mine back cos it changed itself to the sqeuaky setting.

no jazzy, i have the beep when i open the car too, i mean the siren that goes off in intrusion. do you mean that jrw? mine is a single tone beep beep beep beep beep and i want something different because lots of people have the same tone around here

You can change the sound of the intruder alarm. There are five different tones. You require the £4000 VAS 5052 or £100 VAG-Com to change it.

If I remember correctly, there are two european settings, two german settings and one for UK.

I've changed the tone myself to a somewhat unique tone. May be what has been described as "Squeaky". It's unique to the area.

The Bleep or Bleep Bleep when you unlock the door doesn't change tone, but you can turn it on or off, or just for opening or locking.

What's the brand of the alarms you are talking about? Cobra?

Mine was also fitted when the car was bought and it's a Cobra 3100 series. I also would like to change the way it sounds because everyone as this sound :S
