Have you got additional side skirts fitted? Or is your car as it came from factory? Is it not the stone chip underseal that you was pulling apart?

standard factory ones. I'm assuming that's the rough bit? It's done that it might've gone up to the other bit as the skirt has pushed up slightly as around the area the gap to the door is smaller

just looked at the pic again and the damage is only below the line where it goes into that rough area (assuming thats the stone chip bit) I'm guessing the lower portion is fibre glass and the upper is metal?

All metal they just spray a rubberised protectant in this area to protect from stone chips. :?

Are you sure? The damaged area all feels soft and I just asked my mate who has two huge holes in both sills on his 6r due to it falling off axle stands and he said it was fibre glass and he just got them filled sanded and resprayed

Thanks buddy! :)

I've got two options next month (as next payday is going to be a nice one) I can either get my sill filled and resprayed and along with this smooth my front bumper and maybe boot OR I could get some nice shiny new wheels and maybe still get the sill fixed, what do people reckon?

I should also probably finally get around to fixing my ABS lol...

i would always go for the repaired damage mate, i like your wheels atm bud, they sit nicely :) so i'd say smoothness as you dont see 6Rs that are smoothed! be unique!

Still say the sills are metal i have run a weak magnet along mine and it sticks the whole length. A weak magnet wouldn't stick through fiberglass! :?

tap it and feel it though it doesnt have the characteristics of metal, it sounds plastic when you knock it and it feels soft. My Dad took a look and like my Grandad he thinks it's plastic/fibreglass as well, I'll get my buddy who works at a body shop to take a look at the weekend.

When you painted your wheel nut covers did you use plastic primer first? Thinking of doing mine silver, or see if touareg nut covers fit.
