Cheers man. Feeling a bit deflated at the mo. was on the verge of selling up but can't come this far and give up.

Earliest I can get in the garage is Friday night so won't stop till the turbo is off ready to be posted Saturday or at the very least Monday.

Want to try and have it sorted for MIVW and my train is booked for the 17th August so will have to see how I get on.

Did you get this turbo from CR Turbo's, somebody on here mentioned about their turbo's going poop??
I'm sure it wont be either but that's life when modifying cars.

Got the turbo off someone on edition 38. CR Turbos just fitted a bigger comp wheel which I don't believe has anything to do with the turbo going wrong. I believe its to do with the bearings but will have to get the turbo off and inspect it before I point any fingers.
I can understand, I don't mean to be blaming CR Turbos or anybody else if I came across as such :)

Hope you get it sorted 8)

Cheers man. Just don't want this to turn into a thread that is laying blame anywhere without any evidence.

Hopefully have the turbo off this Friday evening so will be able to send it off Monday for inspection and go from there.

And ask for recommendations on turbo builders. It may have been good untile the shaft was disturbed. They may have balanced it wrong which can cause the bearings to fail.

Trust me I'm an engineer lol (ok its only paper machines but still they work on same sort of principle, in relation to the bearings).

I have gone over his in my head and can only put it down to that. Turbo was collected today for inspection. I'll see what they come back with but I will certainly be arguing my case. The turbo has done no more than 20,000 miles in its lifetime so shouldn't have died. Badger5 is a very reputable tuner so I feel comfortable it's nothing to do with the map over workin the turbo. But as I say let's see what they. One back with.

On a more positive note I have been speaking with Turbo dynamics about their MDX555 hybrid turbo.
Garrett core, billet wheel and bespoke turbo and compressor housings. Also looking to have the Motorsport style bronze bearing carrier fitted so will be a much stronger turbo than the VF22 so more suited to my driving style. As well as more power :-)

Where has it gone back to cr?

If it has I can easily guess at oil starvation.

Yeah had to send it there first due to warranty rules. I am waiting for the phone call and I am also believing it will be the same answer.

However engine has been fully rebuilt and all new oil and water line. There's no issue with oil pressure or any blockages in the oil line so they better come better than that otherwise its small claims court.

Well like I said before I don't want to point any fingers until I am certain what the issue is and what has caused this so once I'm clear I will take any steps necessary to have this resolve to my satisfaction.

But one thing for sure is my car and it's oil pressure is fine and so are all my oil and water lines.
