Finally got some scraps of cash together and have purchased a set a 4 HEKO wind deflectors :) £27 down from £71! will post pictures when they arrive.

Next on my list:
- a set of pressed plates
- debadge 'POLO' and 'TDI'
- plastidip for the VW badges
- new wheels (at a dilemma here- insurance won't let me lower my car or have wheels 15"+ so do I whack on some bbs style/slot mags/steelies? would it look stupid at standard height?)

Like the deflectors, dont be too downhearted! you have a stunning "blank canvas" to work on when funds are available. Go steady and enjoy! oh, and congrats on the pass! a little late i know, but still, very cool first car, mine was a 1.1 rover 100, wanted to 6r4 that badboy

Yeah I keep having to tell myself this was the most sensible option. Thanks :D

So had a bit of a revelation. My insurance won't allow me to fit alloys above standard size, but as long as they stay 15", I can change em :D lowering is off the cards, my car scrapes at standard height haha

Did a few photoshops of wheels I like (best to worst) - opinions on wheels and photoshopping skills appreciated 8) I can't seem to get the back wheels right :|

Hey there! I think the pro race 1.2's look best, though im not the best judge cos only one person likes the rims i chose  ! Maybe the retro idea could be a winner, but not sure if the lenso,s do it for me. I think it was Moonjuicepez on here who had some badass gold wire split rims and they looked rather smart.
Anyway, theres the two peneth of somone with bad taste! good luck and happy shopping!
