Did a few runs today to log EGT's and lambda..

EGT's not pushing over 840oC = good.

Lambda on full throttle runs is 0.828 = also good.

Means there is some leaway to push things further

Debating a change of lightweight alloys from the Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2's.

The OZ Alleggerita's look a good bet. Weigh under 7kg too.

Thoughts anyone?

Yeah I do like these Jako.

They weigh in at 6.29kg a corner compared to the TDPR 1.2's I have now at 8.2kg. That's a saving of almost 2kg a corner!!

That's a nice unsprung weight saving then. Could get some titanium wheel nuts too, only about £150 for a set and a surprising amount of weight saved :)

Do you know what the standard BBS Monzas weigh just out of curiosity?

Monza's with tyres...

TDPR1.2's with tyres...

So, if the tyres weigh the same then the Monza's must weigh 10.6kg. That means that the Alleggerita's are 4.3kg lighter per wheel than the Monza's...That is a LOT!

Oz look sweet mate. I vote yes for change. The TDs are nice, suit the car well, but are far to common these days. :)

Link to One of the guys who was on my recent trip to Blyton Park trackday.

In his video you can catch me passing him at 1'45" and again at 9'35" at the start of his cooldown lap.

Not a bad little track and relatively safe for newcomers to trackdays as there is plenty of run off space as it is based on an airfield. 8)

That is a lot, but not as much as I was expecting to be honest, I thought Monzas would be heavier than that. Titanium wheel nuts will get it down another half a kilo per wheel too I bet :)

My car is now up for sale! 8)

Well, I've decided to move on to another project and so the Polo GTI is up for sale.

Deep Pearl Black
5 dr Polo GTI
7 speed DSG
61/2011 reg
Just over 9k miles - through this will go up with use as it is a daily.
10 months old.

Has the following VW extra's

Xenon headlights
Convenience pack
Storage pack
Winter pack
Cruise control
Park reverse sensors - rear
Climate control upgrade

OEM+ extra's

RNS510 rev F head unit with VW Bluetooth and voice microphone fitted.

Aftermarket kit...

Bilstein B16 PSS9's
Whiteline rear ARB
Eibach front ARB ( still new in the box )
Tarox B30 323mm 6 pot  front brakes including braided lines and Corsa pads.
Full turbo-back Milltek exhaust system
Devil's Own water methanol injection system
ITG intake
Pace Products Intercooler and radiator
Okada Plasma coilpacks
Loba L0270 hybrid turbo, includes V banded actuator and manifold
Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2's in anthracite with Federal 595-RSR semi-slick tyres
Revo stage 2 software.

Religiously ran on 98+ Ron fuel.

Exclusively looked after by Statllers.

This is a lovely motor and if I could justify keeping it and running another project I would do. Equivalent stock cars on Autotrader are well over £16.5k and although I haven't added it up, I'm sure there must be around £10k of modifications on this car.

Below is a link to my build thread, so everything you would like to see is in there.

Yeah it is a great car and if I could justify running 2 project cars I would, but I just know I wouldn't use it enough. The last time I had 2 cars I had a £33k car sat in the garage that did 1,700 miles in 8 months from new! :?
