couldn't get a proper one from the front as a car was in the way

Small update anyway - Getting some body work done this week hopefully (provided my mate can find a place to do the re-painting). Was gonna pick up some wheels this weekend BUT I'm (hopefully) off to uni next month so I need to save cash for that right now so they're again being put on hold.

Doing something a little different with the body work though so stay tuned for that ;)

Here's a few more comparison shots - also I cut out the clip bits from my grill that taking the GTI badge left behind, it's a bit shoddy but I think it looks better than it did before

Is it not a pain in the arse it being that low? Can't imagine it's great if the roads are anything like the ones round my way. My preference would be mid way between the two in the last photo :)

See your lower grill and fog surrounds...did you just spray them gloss black or were there other steps first. Gonna steal your idea and do mine too :) Also, wanna give some advice on removing the normal grill, got my 4 clips undone and the thing just won't budge! Need it off to spray the badge black too :P

Sanded the fogs then plastic primed both, sprayed and lacquered usual procedure :) definitely many makes so much difference!

Make sure you've undone the two torque screws on either side of the top of the grille, use a flat head to push down and back in those four little gaps then you just gotta pull it real hard, it'll feel like its gonna snap but it wont you do have to give it some force
