Electric window problem

Post by Aquavalver »

Hi! I hope someone can help? I have a problem with my passenger eletric window. I always goes down ok, but as soon as the passenger or myself presses the switch for it to go up, nothing happens. That's with pressing the switches on each side as well. It had a new genuine VW motor mechanism earlier this year before I owned it as well. When I take the key out of the ignition and leave it for several seconds when I put the key in the ignition again, the window automatically goes up. Any ideas?

I wouldn't have thought it would be the wiring if it goes down and goes up when I put the key back in the ignition and I wouldn't have thought it was the switches if both sides don't work, unless both switches need replacing?!

Thanks, I'll have a look when I take the door panels off to change the grab handles!

I took my door cards off today to change my seat belts and my dad WD40 all the cables and put some vaseline on the guide and fingers crossed it seems to be a bit better.
hope you sort it out soon.
