Which GTI main beam bulbs?

I want to get some sidelight and H1main beam bulbs that match the colour of the GTI HID's. I already have some LED sidelight bulbs, but wondered which bulbs people here had used that give a white light more like the HID's? I don't really want the blue coloured bulbs as they can make part of the headlight look blue because of where they reflect in the reflectors. I've seen Osram nighbreakers and Philips Extreme vision, but not sure how they are?

Has anyone changed the H1 main beam bulbs to HID's? If so where did you place the balasts and how easy was it to do?

No point putting hid's in the main beam because they take time to heat up when flashing someone they will be useless and will take a good 10 seconds to heat up on illumination.

I put H1 HIDs in my old GTI

Best to get digital ballasts which start faster

Passed all its MOTs on them

On flash, youll get a flash as they start which suffices.
