I was impressed by the Weitec Hicon GT coilovers that I had on the Golf as I could easily adjust them and never got any seizes or anything near that whereas I had right probs with the Superpsort ones that were on the car when I got it -well actually even with knocking the C-spanner with a hammer wouldn't budge them! With the Weitecs I could just do them by hand! Much easier when you change wheels & adjust heights!

I'm running FK AK street atm and for budgets I can't rate them any higher but cos they was temporary I just stuck them on rather than greasing or anything lol learnt from that now tho :-(

That's why I'm thinking of trying these FK Highsports cos I can still go low but there just that bit better than the budgets I've got and not too expensive either

Nice one Luke :) the early saloon Polos are a great shape, very retro but very cool too

Bit of a late reply but I never did fit my short shifter  sold it to the guy on here with the blue 5 door 20VT 6N2 Polo but I think he sold it on too

Well considering I started a new thread for my saloon I might aswell update this thread aswell :-)

Not much has happened since the last update really apart from bout myself some mimms which look sweet as but I can't find any pictures atm.

Also last week I had a roof tile fall off o er night and land on my roof which has left it with a few pretty bad dents and rips in the vinyl! :-( still waiting to here back from the insurance.

I've recently got a unit with Phillip and another lad who's not on here as he's got a mk3 cabby

So most recently I've stripped out headlining and the A,B &C pillars to paint them wrinkle black like my handles and switches

Got it back in today apart from seats and door cards as I'm waiting for some red seatbelts to turn up

Also put my rear badges back to standard chrome but with colour coded VW insert :-)

Oh and the car bloody flys without anything in the back ;-)

Ill let pictures do the talkin

Looks good mate 8)

Crap luck with the tile falling off but hopefully you can get that put right relatively cheaply.

Those 3 spokes have really grown on me, very different but they do work well

Was truly gutted bout the roof tile comin off! Hopefully can get it repaired and painted black instead if vinyl wrapped again :-)

Was happy to get the 3s back on for the meet but had to take them off other day due to leaking air really badly so gonna get some wider tyres and go for camber on the rear. ;-)

Got the red seatbelts last night and fitted them.

Need a bit of a clean when I next do the car but they look pretty good against the all black interior

Was the red seat belts an optional extra? As mine has had them from factory as far as I can figure out!!

They look good against leather seats. Car is looking good mate!

Some had red seatbelts from the factory, others had black with red stitching and the early one's just had plain black 8)
