Yeah i lost my door light :( after changing the loom, dunno why, i think there in some sort of an alarm system.. that is inked to it.

Also you might like this, http://www.uk-polos.net/view ... =7&t=55435 did you no if you did wire up to the door push switch, (find the 12v feed on the wire) you could fit a slow discharge resistor, and have a fade out ;)

i was going to wait until i had more things so its not loads of stupid little updates  but heres a couple of things

i got some pressed plates :)

gti clocks
Image

£30 inc postage BARGIN 8)
excuse the rclick box :L i was going to wire the indicators in,
these clocks have around 20,000 more miles than my last clocks is there any way to change them ?

also the other week when it was raining alot i went out to the car and the passengers side foot well waas soaked and the car smelled pretty bad :(

i took the cover of the scuttle panel in the engine bay to see if the overflow holes were blocked and found this
Image

so all the dirty water from this had got through the air box for the heaters and dripped inside the car:(

got the carpet pulled up on that side scrubbed and cleaned it then left to dry overnight, would not dry and the smell kept coming back even with all windows open all night

Image

disenfected and cleaned AGAIN and put a heater fan in the footwell for a few hours and then decided to give the carpets a good clean after so i pulled all the seats out and got to work :)

I have the same problem with my passenger's side (mine is a LHD)as well. Every time it rains a lot and the car is exposed, i find the carpet under the mat completely wet.
Haven't found yet where it comes from. One thing i know its not from the sink below the windscreen. I checked there several times and always keep it clean.
Probably a grommet on the floor or something. Too lazy to fix it right now.

Regarding the radio i would get the blue one.

actually your temp can work. very easy mod. you need to get a temperature sensor (1J0 919 379 A - about 18 €) and a cable (6N0 971 375 D - around 13 €). there is a plug behind the right indicator which is not used. you connect this cable on one end and on the other you fit the sensor. normally this sensor is mounted on a metal bracket in front of the radiator. this bracket is an extra part which you need to buy and is only found in the gti models. instead of getting this part you can just push the sensor through a hole in the center lower grill and your done.
