None of the 9n or 9n3 TDIs (bar the bluemotion) have DPFs. All of them will also gain a healthy 30% or so in power with a stage 1 remap.

I've got a 65PS 1.2. It is slow. I don't even want to try the 55PS version.

I got it for the low insurance, but it's not worth it. Fine around town, and it can be a blast on the right road, but motorways are horrible (it's pulling almost 4,000rpm at an indicated 75mph/70 on the satnav) and fuel economy at speed is awful for something so small. I wish I'd got a 1.4 TDI- excellent fuel economy and more power, or the 1.4 FSI which has a better economy than the 1.2 and is smoother (being a 4-cyl petrol).
