My 9n3 And otehr bits...

Howdy, been a while since i posted on here properly, but got a few minor mods im looking to add and wanted some advie from you more experiencede lot!!

Trying to find the euro ligthswitch that fits the polo (its got a little chrome/metal bit around the switch), seen them on ebay like this -

But will it actually work? Ive seen someone on here before with one but cant remember who its was for the life of me!

Number 2 on my list was rear mudflaps, anyone know part numbers?

and finally pictures below of how it is at the minute and an additional with or without the white pinstripe on my grill ??? (I did a quick vinyl wrap on it at work to take pics, so it wasnt a permanent thing!)

Looking good! I have some rear mud flaps if you're interested? My car had them on when I bought it, I now have the votex rear apron which doesn't allow for mud flaps. Pm me for a price

I like the white grille strip was thinking about doing mine white. Adds a nice touch and a little uniqueness tithe car changing the colour

Ive got a black gti, and ive done mine purple casue ive got a whole 'black and purple' theme going on, so maybe if you start to get a few more bits in white to get a theme going, or even change it to another colour, keep it smart and unique

Hey Yeahhluke , ive seen your build thread, like the diea of black and purple. I think it looks realy smart.
Did you decide to paint your calipers purple too or leave them red?

I did think about having white wing mirrors also with the white grill line, but again umming and arghing about the whole thing at present.

I have the caliper paint just haven't got round to doing it yet, but maybe this weekend haha. I'm toying with the idea of doing with wing mirrors purple but ill proves wrap them instead of paint invade I change my mind


You could wrap them aswell to try as its not that expensive and easy to do, I like red cars on white wheels, so could go for that, and it would be different to everyone else's 'red and black' polos

Funnily enough vinyl wrapping them was an idea, plus could always vinyl wrap one of the wheels to get an idea, rather than photoshop them.
I like your car with the purple mirrors. Makes it look very original and as you said they stand out when different and if you like it why not!

the photoshop section is dead here anyway lol, i think it would look well nice with some white wheels saw a red fez st a while back and thats what got me liking the white and red
any other plans for it anyway?
Is that a LCR splitter i see aswell?? lol

i will get it done at some point just got a load of stuff building up at the minute which needs to get done soon

I bought the front splitter from vw a few years back, so its the proper one ,official if you like, no idea of what it would be known as though?
I know what you mean with white wheels, my gf's sistser has a blue st.
To be fair i did see an image of a vw polo 9n3 with white wheels and wing mirrors on google i think, was a git cup edition. Had cup wheels as well.
Might have been a promo or something but looked swish!
Might just stick some vinyl on a wheel just to see, could get away with a matt finish maybe also.

looks really nice mate,I should have had a look in the flesh the other day .I second the white wheels would really make it stand out
some 35mm springs and maybe white vinyl the roof but i would try and photoshop it first just to see what it looks like,
but car still looks nice as it is...

I think collies or springs are a must if you can stand the bumpy ride, as standard height is way up there lol, not sure about the white roof though might look as though it still has the dealer delivery wrap on it haha
