Re: Oh crap! i think my alternator died! arrrgh! PLEASE HELP
Cable has arrived, bloody COM ports grrr!
Its all set on port 1 but "lite" wont find interface unless its set to port 3!
Suprisingly on these settings, i get "no response from controller" have kept the device manager port settings the same as on lite, tried each usb port in turn " port ok, interface not found"

You installed the drivers for it?

Not sure if you've tried it, but if Lite wants it on port 3, have you changed it to port 3 in device manager?

Sorry dude, child trouble! Yup, installed drivers, what i tried was keeping port settings the same on both lite and device manager and swapping usb ports to see if it would work. no joy! you are glutton for punishment visiting this post

Aaaaah yeah!
Gave up for a while, but sorted the COM port thang. Have to say 80% of the controllers give " no response" but the engine returned 18048 - Internal Control Module: EEPROM Error. No chips or maps, cleared code, and the rev blip has all but dissapeared, and also that smelly "check" light has gone out!
1 down, 1 to go (ABS) Cheers!
