Hi! On the way to work the existing Pioneer stereo went pop and then stopped working! It's less than a year old, but hopefully it's a fuse behind it or something simple, if not, I'll need to contact the previous owner and see if he still has the receipt as it's only several months old. I'm actually changing it next week, but a mate was having the Pioneer one! Great timing! Anyway!
On the way home, the EPC light came on in yellow on the speedo. Anyone know what this means?
Cheers for any help!

Re: ESP light on speedo?
Check your brake lights are working and report back.

Very strange! I checked the fuse and it looked ok, so put it back in place. Went into house, had dinner and went back out to car to go to VW meet. Turned ignition on, stereo came back on and no ESP light! Weird!

Well, all was ok this morning, then the light came on again! Then the stereo popped again and went off, then came on again, then later went pop, then came on again, later went pop again, then came on again!
Think there must be something up at the back of it-wiring, connection or fuse?
Checked the brake lights once I'd parked up and they're not working-so brake light switch?

Re: EPC light on speedo?
Two seconds - remove the kick plate above the pedals with two screws
unplug brake light switch
untwist to remove
fit new
turn till it clicks and locks in
reconnect wiring plug
done!

Typically it was raining and getting dark last night when I got home, so decided to do it this morning before work!Aquavalver wrote:Cheers! Will have a go tonight as long as it isn't pouring down with rain!alexperkins wrote:Two seconds - remove the kick plate above the pedals with two screws

Was a little tricky as you really need to get your head down low to be able to see it! There are 3 star-headed screws that keep the cover in place. Also need to push in the little side prong on the plug to pull it out. Once you've put the new one in, it didn' seem to click lock, but you could hear it when it was unlocked. Asked a neightbour to tell me if they were working again and they weren't!
