IMO, more handsome than g60's  ! but theyre only 14's, even on a 55 profile tyre probably gonna look super dumb, without serious lows...
don't get 55 profile tyres lol they will look like right balloons lol, looking good though

I know, more balloon than Richard Branson  ! Trying to find winter tyres is a b***h, thats about the lowest profile i can find. Was gonna go 185/55/R14 so they shouldnt project too far beyond a 6J rim. Cheers for the verdict, may just have to go for it and sort something better if funds allow.

6J can use a 195 no issue.

Hey cheers man, thought 185's may reduce the "Branson effect!" its all on hold now cos the tax man wants £1250 off me, even though i was unemployed at the specified period! Told the wife i thought tax credits were a bad idea  Just have to swap back to the long suffering RX2's and completely ruin them :( ! Cheers peeps! take it easy.

Its the /55/ part that is the balloon

195/40/16 - 6-6.5J
195/45/15 - 6-6.5J
185/50/14 - 5.5 -6J
175/55/13 - 5-5.5J

Thats the correct sizes

Ta bud 8) ! still got a bit to learn, like everything! Quite like those 14's they sort of have that "slot mag" thing going on, sort of. But saying that, if i could get 15's and run 175/50 on them, speedo error would be down to 0.09%. Better get rowing with the tax man pronto :D ! Certainly not going to argue with what you posted above (thanks), but i have read elsewhere that 175 to 195 are suitable for 6J. Looking at your figures suggests it would be venturing into stretch territory running 175. Do you think thats a dumb idea in winter? just seems to me it might not be sensible.

I would agree stretch in winter is not a good idea

Winter tyres are the best choice, but otherwise proper fitting tyres are the best option.

I couldn't find any winter tyres to fit 15inch tyres anywhere last year! (Or when I used it in the winter last.) That said, I had some brand new UniRoyal RainSports on at the time and only ever got stock once: I had to take a diversion home from uni (after spending 2 hours getting there, only for them to cancel the exam!) as my road home was shut, so followed a friend to his. By the time we got there it was quite late after getting stuck on the A34 for ages, then running out of petrol, so I stopped for a meal. Went to move the car again and a wall of snow had formed/frozen in the wheel arches, so I had no clearance to get back onto the main roads and had to stay the night. Otherwise it was faultless on them. :)

I had white G60s too - white wheels ftw!

Could be of interest if they stay cheap enough?
