So, I guess this idea died then, or have you already sold some bolts and airboxes, Dan?

ok, i'm coming up to the end of the time that i can get to work on these induction kits! there maybe a chance some other time but it depends on how lean my work will be when i start there!

i have two air intakes off the golfs so unfortunatly atm i can only do these two! hopefully will be getting them adjusted in the next couple of days and then order the other parts that will be needed for the kit!

i believe metz and karl_CLCoupe are interested, could u gents confirm this for me and if u would like the full kit or the modified parts!

regards

Thing is mate, I'm interested, but haven't got the money atm. If you can find a definate taker, then I would offer to them first, unless you can wait for me. As for metz, from what I can gather over MSN, hes after the modified bolts.

Thanks.

if you're doing a full kit and no firm takers for it, how much would you want for it?
was considering just the bolts and any other bits that need workshopped, but if you have the golf intake etc already, why the hell not eh :D

ummmm, well on ur head be it, lol, the problem is there are some metal shafts going through the holes, these need to be removed but they are flared at both ends, so the only way would be to drill them out, but this is quite difficult when all that happens is that when the drill comes down, the shaft just spins! u need to find a way to hold the inlet down, and keep the shaft still so u can skim the top off and pull it out from the other side!

but i'm not one to argue so yeah, u can have just the bolts

so orders are now:
2x complete kits (1 reserved for Karl_CLCoupe if no other takers)
1x set of bolts

by the way, the complete kits includes everything u will need apart from the allen key to fit em! £80 includes p&p

this correct?

This is what my induction kit setup looked like on my spi...

PS. I know the exhaust manifold cover is point over the induction kit but that photo had been taken right after I had fitted it too the car. Made a nice grumbly noise and added a bit of poke (suprisingly), haven't got it on the car anymore though.

what you need

3* (6mm x 60mm) bolts ( yay homebase!)
1 throttlle body pickup of mk3 1.4 golf

as logik and others say, lock two bolts together and undo the existing studs. then offer up the mk3 golf pickup and bolt it to the throttle body.

then just attach whatever induction kit you want.

NB the pickup has a 70mm exit and most air filters are 60mm, easy and cheapest way round this is to use some duct tape round the filter exit to pad it out and mount it into the 70mm exit of the pickup.

i went a step further and used some tumble dryer exhaust ducting as a cold air feed as this works very well for me. Bonus, its cheaper than the named ducting and larger in all dimensions
