Can anyone recommend any speakers to upgrade the front door speakers in my Polo?
Also, has anyone fitted an under seat subwoofer (I need my boot space)?
Cheers

Re: Front speaker upgrade
Depends on budget, and the model you choose depends on power expectations/whether you're amping etc.
Alpine, Infinity, JBL at the less extravagent end, or Focal, Rainbow etc if you've got that sort of money to spend.
A lot of "cheap" components have over-bright tweeters. If you're handy with a soldering iron, a 5W or 10W ceramic resistor soldered in series with the tweeter can control it nicely (recently did exactly this with a set of "Juice" components in a mate's B4 passat.)
I've not tried underseat subs, but have considered one for the polo. I've read lots of reviews, and the upshot seems to be that those from a respected brand are OK. They obviously won't sound like a large, conventional sub in a well designed box, but will add some bass.

Re: Front speaker upgrade
ive got a set of JL audio tr's in my polo and they work brilliantly. They are usually about £100 for the pair but they are worth it. they are great quality. just make sure you get the component and not the coxtail version
