Really interesting about the keys!! No idea that was possible! Least of all in the bak of a van!!
Fair play for the police coming out and finger print powdering the car. The police where i live would just say 'sorry its not benificial for us to come out'
Glad it's all sorted!

Glad you gt it sorted. I think what they do with the locks is called tumbling and you can change any lock to fit another key. I had this done in my old mk.2 Golf GTI 16V as when I bought it it the door and ignition locks were different which annoyed me with having to keep using different keys. I'n sure he fiddled me though as he said it was better to change the other 4 locks to match the 1, rather than change the 1 lock to match the other 4!HD9POLOGTi wrote:FINALLY GOT MY BABY HOME
had an auto locksmith come all the way from stockport today to change locks and ignition barrel. But without actually changing anything, he had some proper csi miami tools. He basically recarved the locks to the new keys and changed the key codes so if the little robbing f**ks do still have the keys theres no way of them getting in even with the remote central locking and no chamce of starting it
Here he is with the van FULL full of tricks he cut the keys in front of me and showed me how the ecu has certain keys saved in the system, deleted the old key and supplied me with 2 standard keys and a remote central locking key BIG WIN costing me £160 in all. (now i have a price of how much i am going to take out of the thieves skulls if.......no sorry....... WHEN i find em)
Also had the copper send forensics have a look through the car in a CSI MIAMI/HUDDERSFIELD way left her in a right state
And finally home with her family
Business on the right side
PARTY On the left
Overall win me thinks
Next update for all my fellow polo'erS will be a more positive one look out for my wheels and arche rolling
And also thanks to all of you on here for the help/advice (you wouldnt get it in a garage lol)

Would look cool if you got the red inserts on the door cards and rear quarters trimmed in the same tartan material as the seats!HD9POLOGTi wrote:been off the forum for a while new job and buying/selling cars to raise funds for engine conversion. a few pics of small upgrades over the last couple of months

WELL BEEN A BUSY COUPLE OF WEEKS FINALLY GOT THE TIME OFF WORK
FINALLY GOT SOME WHEEL 15X8 COULD WAIT FOR THE STRETCH TYRES TO COME SO JUST THROUGH ON MY 195'S GONA KEEP THEM ON TILL THE TREAD GOES THEN THROW ON THE 165/45/15'S
few iphone "scene shots" (attempts)
now exactly were i want it to be at the moment got it booked in this week for arches rolling and flaring and stretch tyres to get it lower running the
"jeep look" at moment
and finally after nearly a year buying interior, selling it, buying some more and the selling and then not being able to decide on interior finally got it in
back seats to be welded in this weekend and its nearly there ordered some more interlargos fabric to do the door cards in, however having a bit of a dilema at moment ive got a couple of options
option 1
buy a cheap runaround diesel for going to work and back garage the polo and start painting and engine conversion
option 2
run it as it is get rxii on for winter
options 3
upgrade, trade in with some cash for a polo gti 9n3
really dont want to sell as i have alot planned for it, but to get it were i want i dont want to make it a daily want it mint for shows hmmmm but at same time i want to sell and buy 1.8T job done
