My new gti :)

Post by MathewLuke-gti »

hello all :) I'm new to this site but not new to polos! I had a 6n that was my baby but felt it was time to sell on because needed something faster so went and picked up a black 6n2 that had a gti engine and gti door cards, it was fine but I hated how it was missing all the other gti parts ( splitter, fogs, all the grilles, seats, ) so sold it right away and got on a train to Southampton and picked up a silver 2001 gti. I'm in love with it :D has recon gearbox and a cleaned up clutch but will be replacing the clutch ASAP because its not as smooth as I want it. Car was Standard when I picked it up but standard just isn't me

Right I'm getting so lost with how this photo stuff works so just hope they up load lol

This be my old 6n.it was standard and a dog when I picked it up but this photo was taken the day I sold it

Re: Colour choice

Really wanted to start smoothing my front bumper but started prep and was way to cold for me and plus I'm still waiting on my plastic welder and rods so I just primed it for the mo which does clean it up a lot because the bumper was all chipped anyway.

Things that will be done to the car. I plan on buying a house with in the next two years so I'm going to go to town on this car big time just so I can say I did it and got it to show standard, so like I said a list of things I'm going to do.
Smooth bumpers.
A3 door handles.
Golf mk5 boot handle/popper.
Weld up and smooth the strips on the sides.
Weld up and smooth lines under rear lights
Weld up the Ariel

Colour I want to go for or something like thisImage
