AUX adapter

Post by adam93 »

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone knows which adapter to use for aux input on a stock stereo for the 9N?

Thanks

Xcarlink is usually a decently priced option. Allows you to input from an ipod or through an aux lead and the unit itself just plugs into the input for the CD changer in the back of the stock head unit. I used to have one in mine before I went to a aftermarket head unit and it was pretty good.

edit: Beat me to it!

I use xcarlink, its a bit pricey but it has AUX and also has Ipod output with charge function. Not that I condone Apple gadgets but it's just handy that I never have to charge it. I picked up an ipod which just lives in the car. The unit fits behind the dash even with the double DIN unit, I stuffed it below the radio cage thing.

There may well be a cheap plug-in adapter that consists of just a cable, but I've not heard of it. Most people splash out on new HUs so in comparison mine was the cheap option!

I cant justify paying nearly £80 for an adapter. Went for a aux/usb/sd transmitter instead
