Hullo,
I've had a little hunt about and can only easily spot Piper and Schrick replacement cams for the 1.4 8v.
I have a real hankering for the Piper rally cam (280 degree) from Awesome for about £170 but I know that I need to consider other parts required, increased wear and ease of fitting.
Any experiences anyone?? I'm really not fussed if the car drives like a dog normally, as long as it opens up as I edge towards the limiter! Plus if I can get a bit more of a gargling sound out of the exhaust from a lumpier cam, it'd be allll good!
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Cheerz, Jamie.

I wouldnt bother with a cam in a 60BHP car myself. Seems a bit of a misnomer.
If you were going for one I'd definatly not recommend anything over 275 degree (fast-road). A large degree cam just shifts all the torque up the rev band, which (out of experience) makes normal driving a lot harder, needing a lot more gear changes as it wont pull away as easily in a higher gear.
