Just wondering if the tyres would rub. I know 17s are the way to go generally but i'm not lowering my polo. Can anyone find pictures of a polo running on 18s
at standard height - not lowered ?
Reason being that I won't be lowering my car because the roads in my area are so bumpy (I've often scraped going down in dips, not to mention getting clumps of grass in my bumper and grille).
Closest I've got: lowered 30mm with bodykit

I would assume that if they don't rub on a car that's been lowered then they wouldn't rub on a car that hasn't?

Hey bud,
I have 18's on my 6R GTI with 215/35/18 Yoko S-drive Tyres and I've got H&R srpings and it doesn't touch. So you're safe to put 18's

How is the ride with 18's and that low profile tyre "35" - that is like riding on rims (post up a pic of this madness)

A 35 profile on a Polo will be terrible for potholes IMO

My point exactly....wouldnt take much to buckle the rim and pop off the tyre

Nope, wife had only done 60 miles on her new polo and has already popped a 40 profile tyre !!! , not sure what the issue is as i have had 35 profiles on my last few cars and they have been fine, the polo seems to eat wheels

That's a gorgeous 6r. Are you running spacers? What's the wheel specs, offset etc?
