rear bushes on 9n front suspension split

Lads what would be best for me to get to replace these pain in the rear items to fit? I have the genuine Vw std ones but I am thinking of putting in the seat ones with the metal cover round them. Has anybody fitted the seat ones to their car and are they any better than the std ones. Needing to do this asap. 113000 on the original ones not bad.

I would choose powerflex. Incredibly easy to fit and they have a lifetime warranty.

i have the seat ones in mine and with hindsight should`ve gone for the powerflex jobbies.
with the seat ones the ride is very harsh and i can feel every bump and road humps are a nightmare,so much so that i don`t enjoy driving the car anymore apart from on smooth surfaces,which in this country is`nt very much..

Cheers for the replies so far I have bought both the original ones and the seat ones and I must say the seat ones look far more substantial. The vw original ones look poor quality in comparison. I take note of your comments on the harsh ride with the seat ones. I need these to be tough, in saying that I got 113000 miles out the original ones so I guess the vw ones can't be that bad.

Which model of Polo 9N do you have, the reason I am asking this is, the TDIs seem to suffer with rougher/ noisier ride when the Cupra bushes are fitted, my wife's car is only a 1.4 SE fitted, in summer with 15" alloys, and fitting these bushes many years ago did do nothing other than sort things out and give very direct steering.

The car is a 1.4tdi Twist 3dr but runs on full GTI running gear,I have 16" vw Contours on the car at the minute soon to be swapped to the summer Gti Monza wheels also 16" riding on 205/45*16 tyres. I am seeing good and bad reports about the seat bushes. I appreciated all the comments that have been given. The roads up here are a total night mare especially speed humps where I have to drive to pick up my son. I believe this is the road that put paid to my suspension, track rod ends and the bushes so I really need something that will take the heat.

I would advise against using the cupra bushes in your case as you will notice increased vibration over powerflex items.

Powerflex are unique as the allow the wishbone to rotate as it should but they prevent the side to side movement that is bad for handling.

Ended up getting the seat ones fitted as a far more substantial product. I have noticed that it is alot tighter but I had the antiroll bar bushes and brackets replaced at the same time felt that after 144k miles they should be replaced while working in the area. The steering seems to be more precise so at the minute I am well pleased with them and the vw ones are going back at the weekend. Cheers for the input from everybody it is good to hear eachothers opions on the subject.

Some aftermarket ones now have 4 "spokes" to them rather than the conventional 2. (after lots of complaints about the short life apparently!)

Ours (1.2 on 15"s) has had a set on recently, and the ride seems pretty much indistinguishable from how it used to be.

I have found it to be a bit more direct steering wise I had the anti roll bar bushes replaced at the same time so I am sure that that will have had something to do with it. The seat ones just looked alot better than the vw ones and the cost was less.
