Re: 9n3 rear cluster wiring adapters....gauging interest.
Just thought I'd give this a bump rather than starting a new thread.
I'm off home for a couple of weeks and will try to make up some adapters for anyone who were interested. I know it's taken me ages, but every time I've been back up, I've either been busy with exams / cw or forgotten to take up the list of part nos. with me
Just a heads up, parts alone cost ~£20 thanks to a price hike by VW. Concrete prices for these made up and posted will be provided soon.

Re: 9n3 rear cluster wiring adapters....gauging interest.
Just thought I'd update this:
I finally picked up a batch of parts from VW today and built a set of adapters and they work great Took a lot longer than I thought to build them...thought the terminals would just need crimping, but in the end I decided to solder them as well to make sure they'd never come undone. Took about 30 - 40 mins to build from scratch, bearing in mind you've got to strip 10 lengths of wire, crimp and solder 20 terminals and then fit these into 4 connector housings. They work brilliantly, plug straght into the factory loom at one end and into the 9n3 rear clusters at the other end. No cutting / taping / disconecting / hacking of the stock loom as was needed previously.
A few pics:
Bunch of random parts:
Crimped and soldered:
Set of wires for one side:
One side nearly done:
Both sides done:
Plug and play:
OEM vs wire I used (pic isn't great, but the wire used is thicker than that used in the OEM loom):
My best attempt at getting an "in action" shot:
And there's no way these will fall apart EVER. Considering the ghetto adapters I made made for myself over a couple of years ago are still working fine (Don't laugh ):
Compared with the new ones:
This was the first set I've made as a trial (and will be headed to forum member 'chewy' soon) and now I know they work, I'll start building more if there's demand. Still trying to figure out pricing, but bear in mind the bare parts themselves are just under £19 from VW and then there's wire, solder and p&p, not to mention my time.
Will keep you updated, but if anyone's interested in a set, post here or PM me.
Thanks,
Ash
