Pd130 exhaust..
Pd130 exhaust..
Hi guys, always had my doubts about getting an exhaust for a diesel, but wondering what it sounds like.. Anyone on here got vids of theirs or some else's? Would like to hear something before I make my mind up! Cheers

Re: Pd130 exhaust..
You can always lop the muffler off and have a straight-through tip welded in!
Loads more bang for your buck and you can have whatever tips you like. This may make it a bit unbearable for motorways though. Maybe try it before you splash out £500+ on a new system.

Is the standard system quite restricted or is it not bad? It's the last think I'm gonna do performance wise. Have a hybrid turbo, front mount cooler, egr delete, and a map. Just wondering how much I would benefit from a new system! Won't be going decat though as I don't want it to be stupidly loud.. Just want a nice note!

Mufflerectomy all the way lol
The guy who did my map reckoned the standard system is good for 200 bhp, if you have a look on the nsnp (no smoke no poke) forum, they did the above and choped off the back box on a 150 leon and it gained 5bhp!
The standard bore on diesels is larger than petrols as standard so unless you ditch the cat you probably wont get much more of a gain that just sawing the back box off.

Here's my PD100 with hybrid turbo etc, decat full stainless made by Piper. Sounds wicked, really un-diesel like and almost silent on the motorways but angry when accelerating.
