Air con drain tube location

Hi,
Can someone tell me where to look for the drain tube for the air con (climatronic) in my 2004, polo9n. I have very wet passenger side carpets and i suspect it is the a/c drain blocked causing it to overflow into the car.

First take the pollen filter out, then, under the bonnet have a look around under the plastic trim in front of the windscreen - you might find that there are a lot of leaves etc in there, then with that off you should find the drainage channel which allows the water to run down the back of the soundproofing I think. Taking the pollen filter out was only really to see if the water was coming in through it and to clear/dry it. After fixing this you will probably need a new pollen filter.

Thanks for that, i previously took the pollen filter out and it was totally dry, i also cleaned all the leaves/debris from out of the front scuttle and i checked the sunroof drains are clear (which they are). It now only leaves the air con drain to check as i havent had wet carpets during the time i've kept the a/c turned off.

So do you think the drain is definitely beneath the wipers, under the plastic trim?

I think that it "appears" around the middle of the car and so is quite insignificant as it will be partially or fully hidden by the sound proofing, but as you have cleared elsewhere, maybe worth prodding around that general area to see if you can locate and check its clear. (wife is "out" with car at the moment)

Sorry for not getting back quicker, I've just had a look at the car and if you look down around the centre of the car under the bonnet, you will see where the heater water pipes come through the sound proofing, just to the "near side" of that there is a circular bump in the sound proofing, if you reach in where the cut-out is for the water pipes, you can just feel the drain tube end. Now I'm not sure exactly what form this flexible "rubber" end takes, but I'd expect that it is a bit like the usual normally closed end that you get on the sunroof drains. I still think that you might to get in under the hard plastic, unless you manage to trim back, or make a cut in the sound proofing at that bump. Also doing that would let you see exactly what is there and maybe allow you to clear the end enough to stop this flooding into the car.

Hi, I did just as you suggested and used a sharp knife to slice around under the bump so that i could lift it up and away from the bulkhead to reveal the rubber pipe poking thru behind it, i then blasted some compressed air into the pipe and that seems to have cleared the blockage.
