Heat Shield Clips
Just noticed the heat shielding on the rear of the car is missing some of its retaining clips. The dealers are saying it will be £10 for a pack of 10 (Seems like a bit of a waste when I only need two. Just wondering if anyone has bought some from somewhere else? Or a similar product that does the job?

I think that if you have lost the retainers, then you will need to buy the pck of 10 - remember that these clips are used on the plastic side covers as well and they tend to rust and fall off - sometimes it good to remove these plastic underside covers and wash the dirt out, best after winter has ended! (some clips will be too rusty/weak to get reused)
Another issue with the heat shields is, they are made of aluminium and the clips and body are steel - so the aluminium "dissolves" and the heat shield fall down over the retainers. My fix for that is to cut some repair plates from old tins, remove the retainer(s) slide on the repair plates, push the retainer(s) back on.
