Steel Wheels For A GTI

Post by Polo Dan »

I'm looking to buy a set of steel wheels for the 6n2 gti to use for winter and wile my split rims go for a refurb.
I know ET35's off a polo will be ok but they're a bit small and skinny and i'd like to go as big and wide as possible so was wondering if bigger wheels from, say, a Passat for example would fit and also have the four bolt holes?

So any ideas as to what wheels will do the trick would be greatly received!

P.S I've got standard suspension and don't want any rubbing or scraping when steering or going over speed humps.

Best bet buddy is the 15" g60 steels. These are 6.5j so a lot the same as some alloys and look sweet. 16 is the biggest wheel you can realistically fit on a 6n2. I'd go for the g60's personally it's what most people run on here. :)

I saw a set of g60's on talk audio the other day with centre caps and a set of toyo tyres for £350 pal. Could be some haggling to be done there ;)
