Polo Blue GT
Re: Polo Blue GT
The seats are confusing me. There's no mention of them being part leather but they look like the might be. Can anyone confirm?
I'm not sure I'm going to like them but the alternative was too expensive!

ON this photo at full res it looks like the blue bits are alcantara and the fronts of the bolsters are leather/pvcnicster wrote:The seats are confusing me. There's no mention of them being part leather but they look like the might be. Can anyone confirm?

Re: Polo Blue GT
When I was getting car in March, there were about 35 on dealer order / for VWUK. Some with dealers others due in to stock shortly.
Anyway drove back from London on Sunday and passed a white BlueGT on M4. Gave him a wave.

Re: Polo Blue GT
What does everyone think of the lower grill?
I have an SEL just now and I really like its grill and chrome accent; prefer it to the GT I think. Not sure if it's something that is easy and inexpensive to swap out but I'll have to see how much it bothers me when I finally get it in the flesh. My order is in finally being processed; looks like delivery end-May

Re: Polo Blue GT
Will be going into the dealer tomorrow to order mine and the wife's new cars. She will be getting a 3 Door Blue GT DSG with Gas Discharge (Xenon) lights - yes we've finally decided.
One thing the wife has asked me to do is retro fit the fog lights back into the bumpers (even if they are not wired up) as she feels the front lower valance of the Blue GT looks kinda naked and boring with just black plastic. So anyone know if the grill covers on the Blue GT will just clip off and can I replace them with the covers from say an SEL model ? I've seen fog lights on the bay quite cheap, but I guess the grills will have to come from VW ?
BTW, if we get the car with Xenon's, is there a good chance that the BCM model will support fogs so that it would only be harness, new light switch and a bit of coding required ?

Re: Polo Blue GT
If the car has Xenon the BCM also supports foglights.
But I'm sure it's cheaper to order the car with foglights than to go out and buy the parts seperatly afterwards.

You cannot buy the car with Xenon & Foglights.Mart!n-GTI-DK wrote:If the car has Xenon the BCM also supports foglights.

Re: Polo Blue GT
Not even as an option??? I understood that if you order the car with xenon they don't put on foglights as stock. But I thought it would still b possible to order them as an option.AAddict wrote:You cannot buy the car with Xenon & Foglights.
I meen... Just because you have xenonlights they weather can still get foggy...
Re: Polo Blue GT
Nope, they are standard without Xenon, but once you add it they are deleted.Mart!n-GTI-DK wrote:Not even as an option??? Polo Blue GT
Theirs a white 5dr on Autotrader with the alcantrara seats the drl appear to be the same type as the bluemotion so that maybe why you loose the fogs as the drl is replaced with led's on the xenons

Re: Polo Blue GT
I have one on order here in Denmark and stock it has the same drl's in the foglights.daydotz wrote:Theirs a white 5dr on Autotrader with the alcantrara seats the drl appear to be the same type as the bluemotion so that maybe why you loose the fogs as the drl is replaced with led's on the xenons
I have ordered it with xenonlights. But the car still keeps the foglights.
But they probably switch them for the number 2 set. without drl's.
