Some idiot in a transit van went into me today, stoned as hell.

Just had a new front skirt and side skirts fitted as well.

Gutted :(

That's nasty! Unlucky mate :( Probably a new door and some work to the front wing and rear quarter?

At least the side skirts look untouched..!

He was stoned? What a colossal bell-end!

Just got back from the repair centre, its a 50/50 chance on whether it can be repaired or not.

They said the rear quarter will be difficult to repair as its welded in.

There are scratches on the skirt just cant see it in pictures.

Yeah i've notified the insurers and solicitors he was stoned, hope they actually do something about it!

Sounds like you're covered at least. Did he stop or was it a hit and run?

He had to stop as he was heading to a dead end anyway.

He didn't argue that it wasn't his fault as i think he was more concerned about getting caught stoned!

I'd rather they pay me out and get a new car as it can't be repaired back to standard, a few bodywork adjustments will need to be made, definitely affecting the resale value.

Ask to buy it back I did that with mine and made a few bob argue the value of your car and never accept the first offer. My car had paint stripper pored over it and they quoted 3k to respray . I bought the car back for 850 and paid 400 for the respray and its a great job. Cat d write off so not dvla notifiable. You can pick up doors easy on ebay and the front wing is easy and cheap to replace as is the door. the quarter panel can be reworked so it might be worth a good think about it. Personally I would fix her its not to bad the damage. If you are in Scotland pm me and I can get you a number of who did my car as it was a huge saving.

It would not have been worth buying it back, i did the calculations and i would be losing out overall anyway.

I managed to get more than i payed for the car originally, minus the parts i still have to sell so better off now :D

Not sure what i am going for next, lots of options!
