First time polo owner

Post by l00cas »

Just about to buy a polo and have seen a new facelift version which I love the look of, but the catch is it has 111k on the clock and I'm wandering what the things lifespan is going to be.

No doubt vw's are very well built cars, but what is everyones feeling on this? Worth a punt and keeping it a year or so or is it going to be dead before 150k? And please don't take this wrong way haha, this isn't a polo bashing thread, I just genuinely have no idea how long these engines last. It's a: Volkswagen Polo 1.4 SE 80 3DR 2006. This or I fight off the urges to buy this for its looks and get a pre face lift with 70-80k on it?

cheers chaps :D

Id rather get a lower mileage one because it will be easier to sell also the car will have been used less obviously so therefore it reduces some risk of anything breaking. I had an 2001 polo gti which had done 116,000 miles but felt amazing and you wouldnt have guessed it! but its just nicer to get lower mileage ones.

It depends on your budget?
