9n3 Centre Silencer Removal

Post by Tony Boi 92 »

Hi guys
Anyone had just their centre silencer removed?
And nothing else changed on their exhaust system?
Any vids? Or has anyone done it?

Can you recommend or can you say avoid?

Also how much did you pay?

Thanks
Tony

Tony
I did mine but the existing system was a factory full length unit, needs an angle grinder to chop (measure twice-cut once) also a connecting piece was needed (cheap) form the dealers..

John

Thanks Jon

So all you did was replace silencer with a pipe?

Do you like the sound? Can you get me a vid by any chance???

I'm fairly certain the GTI exhaust has only the back box, the centre section after the Cat is just a straight pipe

Just buy a milltek

Beat me to it!

Center box isn't there on a gti..

Main car off downpipe then back box

Dip in the pocket and get a miltek ;)

Hmm, it's not THAT quiet haha. But I imagine it's only as loud as it is for legal reasons or something, that's what Millteks are for :D

Isn't stage one revo just a generic map? You could probably have it done on a custom map, most people say custom maps are better anyways

Can't be done on Revo stage 1, you need Revo stage 2 to map the light out. Or a custom Stage 1 map
