Is it possible to retrofit the trip computer to the Polo 6R in models that don't have it as standard.
I know with some other VW models it is just a case of swapping the stalk for one with buttons and enabling it in VAG-COM - has anyone tried this in a 6R Polo? Does it work? Was there any additional wiring to be done?
No Trip Computer? Retrofit?

I seem to remember someone saying that it is that simple on the 6r, and that the actual dash cluster is capable of everything anyway. Could be wrong though.

Yep should just be the stalk, nice and easy upgrade
Cruise can in theory be added the same way too with some additional coding.

Cruise is harder I think- you need the Body Control Module, and some more wiring. See here http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.ph ... tting_(6R)

Retro fitting cruise is a Royal PITA it isnt like on a Golf where you just add a stalk and tweak the coding. Speak with eddie-gt on here he will advice what is required
