Hi all, just picked up my new GTI on Wednesday and have a few questions regarding the RCD310 and the Bluetooth system...
So, my car has the basic RCD310 and has the Bury "TPKMusic" interface with the small touch screen. Works awesome with my phone for handsfree but the music option doesn't work via the Bury touch screen device. It connects and appears to play music but there's no sound through the speakers. My dealer said that on the Polo's this is an optional extra and will cost to fit, I didn't hold on to find out a price...
So it brings me to the RCD310, in the setup menu there is an option for Bluetooth audio and when this is switched on you should be able to select Bluetooth as the input via the Media button on the radio system. A few videos on YouTube show people setting this up with just a few presses of buttons but mine simply doesn't work, is it all related to the Bury handsfree kit or is it something else that needs activating?
It's frustrating seeing these videos where people are activating it so easily but mine simply doesn't work, has anyone else experienced the same problems?

There's another thread on here where someone has gone to the bother of sourcing the cable, getting it fitted and it still doesn't work.
You're better off dropping £10-£20 on a USB stick and leaving it the glovebox.

Already have done! Loaded a little stick with my iTunes library and it works a dream on Mix All so for now I think it's good for now.
It was more of a general question as it seems silly to have what looks like a working option but it doesn't work!

That would be me haha I bought an aux cable and fitted it myself. It's just plugged into the aux port. You can find pictures on my thread. Update... Managed to get audio working via Bluetooth. It basically needed a setting turning on in the menu of the touch screen device to enable it. A bit silly of me really for not checking, but there we go!

Assuming this isn't full stereo audio you've got working?
